Horseshoes is an outdoor game played between two people (or two teams of two people) using four horseshoes and two throwing targets (stakes) set in a sandbox area. The game is played by the players alternating turns tossing horseshoes at stakes in the ground, which are traditionally placed 40 feet apart. Modern games use a more stylized U-shaped bar, about twice the size of an actual horseshoe.  The object of the game is to pitch the horseshoe so that it comes to rest encircling the stake; failing in that, it comes to rest within six inches of the stake.

Ladder Ball is played with 2 or more players or teams.  Each player has 3 “golf ball bolas”.  A bola is 2 golf balls attached by a nylon rope.  The object of the game is to wrap your bolas around the steps of the ladder.  The ladder consists of 3 steps, a top, middle and a bottom step.  Being a relatively new and grassroots game, it goes by many names and has a diverse array of tales for how each was created. Some of these names are: Balls Awesome, Ladder Ball, Hillbilly Golf, Testicle Toss, Dog Balls, and many others.  There is also a patented version of the game called Ladder Golf.

Bocce (sometimes anglicized as bocci or boccie) is a ball sport belonging to the boules sport family.  A game can be conducted between two players, or two teams of two, three, or four.  A match is started by a randomly chosen side being given the opportunity to throw a smaller ball, the jack (called a boccino or pallino in some areas), from one end of the court into a zone 5 metres (16 ft) in length, ending 2.5 metres (8.2 ft) from the far end of the court.  If the first team misses twice, the other team is awarded the opportunity to place the jack anywhere they choose within the prescribed zone.

Croquet

Croquet is a lawn game, played both as a recreational pastime and as a competitive sport.  It involves hitting plastic or wooden balls with a mallet through hoops (often called "wickets" in the US) embedded into the grass playing court.  There are many variations on the Rules and Regulations of Croquet, including competitive and social forms.  The North American and International Association rules vary significantly in many aspects but nonetheless use the same croquet equipment and court set up.  It's a sport suitable for all ages and both sexes and one of the few sports that men and women can play on equal terms. It has a really good handicapping system which, more than any other sport, is a genuine leveler.
